Black Friday 2013 Date: Store Hours & Openings Earlier

The Black Friday 2013 date will be on November 29th, just a day after the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States of America. It has easily become one of the busiest shopping days in the USA and was even announced as a special holiday in most of the states.  Many shoppers don’t want to miss important Black Friday doorbusters, deals and sales when they arrive. Savvy shoppers always try to keep an eye on the store hours, and each year it seems Black Friday sales will start well in advance. Some are even of the opinion that it would not be surprising if leading stores commence their Black Friday sales the Monday of that same week!

Black Friday 2012 Store Hours:

Last year some stores started their sales on Wednesday itself or even earlier. Last year Macy’s, Kohl’s and many other reputed stores opened at midnight for the Black Friday sales. However midnight seemed to be bit late and this year these stores have planned to commence their sales still in advance.  Both Toys R Us and Walmart’s doors opened at 8pm last year and Target opened at 9 pm.  Sears and Kmart stores remained opened all day long but however the sales did not commence till 10pm.  It should be interesting to see if they follow the same trend this year, or open even earlier than before to attract more customers.

Black Friday 2013 Store Hours & Openings:

Employees in some stores may agree to work on Thanksgiving day itself as retailers look to get shoppers in ahead of Black Friday.  This year it looks that Macy’s just might open its doors at 8pm on Thanksgiving Day to kick start their Black Friday 2013 sales. However Macy’s media persons refused to confirm this news, and instead stated that they have not yet released their official opening time.  This will allow the shoppers to do their doorbuster and sales deal shopping on Thanksgiving night itself instead of waiting in long queues in the cold weather for the early morning sales.

Black Friday Store Openings for Sales:

Black Friday shopping attracts huge aggressive crowds and every year there are numerous cases reported of assaults and trampling to get the best deals and bargains. To avoid such unpleasant things major stores have plans of opening their sales well in advance itself this year.  However, there still exist many shoppers who simply prefer the fun of shopping on Black Friday for the sales, deals and doorbusters, and others who prefer the comfort and convenience of online shopping!
