2014 Black Friday Deals Start Early for Walmart

The Black Friday sale for Walmart gets started early in 2014, as the company will reportedly start unveiling their latest online sales deals as of November 1, 2014. The news comes along as Amazon’s 2014 Black Friday deals were announced to also start Nov. 1st online, and will run through the month. It seems both of these retail juggernauts are looking to get things going as early as possible. Let’s take a look at what Walmart is offering in the coming days and weeks leading up to the big holiday season!

With the Walmart cyber sale, the retailer is said to be offering rollback prices on 20,000 some items. Some examples of products that will get “fresh price rollbacks” are the Xbox One which goes from $399 to $349, a Samsung 46” HDTV from $578 to $528, a Sceptre 50-inch LED HDTV from $379 to $349 and a Dell Inspiron Touch 15.6-inch laptop PC from $549 to $479. Of note, the Xbox One has been announced recently by Microsoft as dropping by $50, so that deal was coming, but Walmart has rolled it out a day ahead of Microsoft’s reported date of 11/2. It’s also expected Xbox One bundles will get discounted through the holiday sales season.

You can head over to Walmart’s website and learn more about their discounts. This is a great advantage to those who want to do their shopping early and online in a more convenient manner than rummaging through stores and fighting with crowds or colder temperatures!

So why is Walmart starting things so early? It’s seeming to be the trend that each holiday shopping season is getting extended way ahead of the traditional day known as “Black Friday.”  During a media call back on Thursday, chief merchandising officer Duncan Mac Naughton said:

“Helping families deliver an amazing Christmas doesn’t start on Black Friday, it starts now. As soon as they put away their Halloween costumes, our customers start prepping for Thanksgiving, buying Christmas trees and shopping for gifts. They want the best deals now and we’re here for them today, next week and throughout the season. Our strategy is simple: lead with low prices, offer the best brands, make shopping easier than ever and bring the holiday joy that only Walmart can deliver.”

Walmart has yet to reveal any plans for Black Friday 2014 in-store sales. So as of this report, it’s unknown when they might open up for shoppers in real world stores, or what sorts of doorbusters they have planned. Rest assured, the Walmart 2014 Black Friday ad will be leaked at some point, and we’ll let you know here at Holiday Gift Nation as soon as we see it!
